Syrinx, music of the past.

After not a single thought about a certain piece of music, it appears on the dreamscape horizon like a trumpeting cavalry charge. It was the theme music for a TV program that I remember being called"Toward The Year 2000" but all references on the internet name it as "Here Come the Seventies". It was a 'foretaste of things to come' type of program and would have had us in spaceships by 1979 if they'd foretold correctly. So, decades later, all that is left in my memory is the theme music but there are no spaceships coming into view. I see that it was a Canadian band who still exist somewhere, somehow, who performed the theme music but it doesn't seem to be available as a download anywhere. I see that Mondobongos has had a post or two on this blogspace but that doesn't get me any closer to hearing that theme music which maybe a blessing in disguise. I recently got hold of the Fleetwood Mac album, Tusk, for the sake of the title track and it sounded so thin after all these years it has hollowed out my rich memory seam. Some things are best left in the recesses of our lush memory senses, real life sometimes can't measure up to our imagination. My thoughts now float away.......
